WHAT IT DOES

Everything a project needs, nothing it doesn't.

MindPolar Projects does a focused set of things completely, rather than a long list of things partway.

  • Statuses your organization defines

Projects and tasks move through a status catalogue your own organization configures — not one we hand you.

  • Three roles, always explicit

Manager, Member, or Viewer — every person staffed on a project holds one of three roles, so who can change things and who can only look is never ambiguous. External people — clients, auditors, vendors and other outsiders — can be added as Viewers and see only the projects they are on.

  • Tasks, with checklists when you need them

Break work into tasks, and break a task into a checklist when a step-by-step list helps. Checklists are optional, never required.

  • Assignment, always explicit

A manager hands a task to whoever is doing the work — never a guess about who picked it up.

  • Priority and dates where they matter

Set a priority, a start date, and a due date on any project or task that needs one — never required on the ones that don't.

  • Ongoing projects, not just deadlines

Some work never has an end date. Mark a project ongoing and it stays open by design, not by neglect.

  • Health check-ins as the project runs

Post a short check-in on a project while it runs, so its status is a habit — not something reconstructed after the fact.

Who can see a project

VISIBILITY

Every project is visible across your organization, unless you say otherwise.

A project’s name, status, and progress are visible org-wide by default — nobody works in an unannounced silo. Mark a project private, and only the people staffed on it, plus your organization’s owners and administrators, can see that it exists.

External people — clients, auditors, vendors and other outsiders — can be added to a project as Viewers. They see only the projects they are on, never the rest of your organization.
