Field-Ready Operations App for a Multi-Branch Sewing-Machine Business
A single mobile app that runs the whole shop floor — sales, repairs, inventory, and customers — built simple enough for counter staff and safe enough for multi-branch operations.

The challenge
The business runs sales, repair jobs, parts inventory, customer records, dealer accounts, and leads across several branches, much of it still on paper or in the owner's head. Many of the staff operating it are low-literacy counter workers, so any tool had to be radically simple, while owners still needed branch-level control, an honest audit trail, and customers needed a way to track their repairs without calling the shop.
Our approach
We owned the work end to end — product, UX, engineering, and the database — rather than handing over a half-built tool. We designed every screen around one clear action and large tap targets for low-literacy users, and pushed all the money, stock, and access rules down into the database itself so correctness and security never depend on the app being used the right way.
What we built
- A role-aware mobile app (Admin / Manager / Staff) covering POS sales and invoicing, the full repair-job lifecycle, branch inventory with inter-branch transfers, and customer, dealer, lead, purchase and supplier management
- A no-login public area where customers browse a branch's catalog, submit buying interest, and track their repair status by phone number — with payment details and other branch data kept private by design
- A hardened multi-branch data layer: per-branch row-level security, atomic stock-and-balance transactions, database-generated gap-free invoice numbers, a forge-proof audit trail, and server-side admin functions that keep privileged keys off the device
Outcome
The firm now runs day-to-day branch operations — sales, repairs, inventory, and customer service — from one app that ordinary counter staff can use confidently, while owners get branch-scoped control, an honest audit trail, and live business numbers, and customers can self-serve catalog and repair-status lookups without exposing private data.
